The Shemede Taiwo Humanitarian Foundation was set up in the Makoko Community of Lagos, Nigeria by Taiwo Shemede to provide education, shelter, improved healthcare and opportunities for the needy and underprivileged in Makoko, and other rural communities in Nigeria.

At the Shemede Taiwo Humanitarian Foundation, our mission has always been rooted in education and providing equal opportunities for every child. We take pride in the impact we make by ensuring that underprivileged children in Makoko have access to quality education.

Our commitment to creating positive change extends beyond the classrooms of Makoko. In addition to our efforts in educating the children, we firmly believe in empowering their families as well.
Recognizing that true transformation comes when all members of the community are uplifted, we have initiated a program to provide essential support to the widows and orphans in this vibrant community.
